Founder · Head Coach
Before the barbell, Joey spent 16 years on the football field — a multi-year team captain in high school, MVP of the Sportz Farm All-American Game, with multiple college scholarship offers to play. Along the way he was coached by former NFL players and collegiate All-Americans, learning firsthand what it takes to empower athletes to become their best selves. Leading athletes isn't new to him — it's all he's ever done.
Joey founded Strength Over Everything in 2020 and has coached 50+ lifters through 100+ meet performances. He's competed in raw powerlifting himself and has lived the sport from both sides of the platform — with gym PRs of 620lb squat, 495lb bench, and 551lb deadlift.
Today he's a nationally ranked competitive grappler competing under Masterskya Jiu-Jitsu in NYC, where he's won multiple ADCC Opens and the IBJJF New York Open.
You're not just getting a program from a Google Drive — you're getting a coach who grinds and sacrifices day in and day out, right alongside you. Stacking good training days, and letting the small wins compound into something bigger — just like you.
I was ready to walk away from powerlifting. One year with Joey: 3rd at Teen Nationals, +182lbs on my comp total, +50 DOTS, IDFPA Bench World Champion, and 4th at Junior Nationals. He didn't just coach my lifting. He kept me in the sport.
My coach ghosted me 10 days out from a meet. Joey stepped in, helped me finish my prep, and I hit two PRs. About three years later: +162.5kg on my total — an 80 DOTS jump — and I'm on track to compete nationally.
Joey helped me cut 2.5kg of vacation weight in six days to make weight at nationals — and I still totaled within 1kg of my all-time best, hit a deadlift PR, and took 5th for a medal.
Joey isn't just a coach — he's a relentless force of belief. I came in stuck. I left stronger, leaner, and more confident than I've ever been. If you're serious about strength, inside and out, he's the coach to take you there.
Stacking good training days isn't just about lifting. In the gym, it means showing up — doing quality work, and trusting that progress adds up over time.
In life, it's the same: making one good decision at a time, taking care of yourself, and letting the small wins build into something bigger.
Strength is like a flower. It grows slowly — with care, through good days and hard days.
And it's the same with yourself.
First meet or fiftieth — I don't care where you're starting. You don't need a big total to walk through the door. You need the will to build one. We'll stack the rest, one training day at a time.
